Your role at Total Processing

To develop and win Merchant sales business in identified markets across both Ecommerce and Moto payment services as directed by the Sales Director. The key role is the deliverable in the provision of merchant clients for the services of Total Processing Limited. This will be defined around a clear marketing and lead generation strategy that the person will have the ability to actively add input and help shape around the company goals and market penetration aims. 

The role will be highly focused on the development of networking and relationship building to identify, present to and deliver new Merchant clients on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, develop and capture sales business in identified markets.
  • Maximise deliverability and profitability of sales within business unit for a major client or group of clients. 
  • Sales target will typically exceed £5M of merchant processing per quarter.
  • Accountable for personal sales progression of the portfolio of sales opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with wider International and Domestic sales teams to support and manage cross-sales team initiatives.
  • To balance own effort and focus in a matrix based BD/sales organisation
  • Leadership and progression of a portfolio of opportunities or accounts. 
  • Leading and wining major business changing deals
  • To manage internal and external stakeholders
  • To demonstrate Selling for Growth in all opportunities and activities
  • To influence decisions through sound advice and judgement
  • Accurate forecasting and delivery of Sales target
  • Support development of the Sales and Regional Strategy.

Requirements

Key Capabilities/Knowledge: 

  1. Previous demonstrable experience in a Merchant Services sales role.
  2. Excellent understanding of and ability to apply sales concepts, tools and principles
  3. Highly developed ability to effectively negotiate at a senior level both internally and externally
  4. Highly skilled at managing relationships and conflicting priorities
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of being able to influence at senior levels
  6. Excellent knowledge of the card payment processing industry and associated merchant industries
  7. Good knowledge of other functional disciplines related to selling (eg Commercial/finance)

 Experience & Qualifications 

  1. A track record of selling products to clients within the card payment processing industry.
  2. A thorough understanding of the requirements of payment processing and regulations. 
  3. A good working knowledge of commercial contractual issues, especially those involved in international business
  4. An understanding AML and Fraud measures.
  5. An exemplary role model, demonstrating inspirational and motivational leadership for the entire business 
  6. A positive, enthusiastic and compelling representative of Total Processing to clients, external contacts, suppliers and stakeholders.
  7. An open and honest communicator, including both challenging and building on others’ input.
  8. Known for delivery of commitments/results/management of expectations.
  9. A team player – yet explicitly accountable for business in a country/region.
  10. The ability to interact – including influencing, negotiating and assisting in closing complex, value-adding engagements – with senior people in client and partner organisations
